When Productivity Becomes a Treadmill
The Secret Life of Busy Muslims in a Hustle-Driven World
Salams!
I wrote an E-book, that is meant to expose the reasons why you are always busy, why life won’t get easier, and why the only way to achieve that is through working smarter, not harder.
I wish this email could start with a positive tone,
but after working with 100+ Muslim achievers over the past two years, I kept observing how naive it is to keep doing the same things over and over, and expect life to get easier next month, next year, or after some unknown time. Reminds me of this quote that is attributed to Einstein:
“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”
Shrinkage of Time: A Sign of the Hour!
In fact, we have evidence from a Prophetic hadith that time shrinking (in a literal or figurative manner) is one of the signs of the day of judgment:
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The Hour will not be established until time passes rapidly, such that a year is like a month, a month is like a week, a week is like a day, a day is like an hour, and an hour is like the flicker of a flame.”

What this hadith is actually telling us that 2026 will feel much faster than 2025, and this December will fly by much quicker than past December, and so on and so forth.
My oldest son is almost 18, Subhanallah! I was looking at his newborn pictures as if it was yesterday!
The only way to stop that leak in time is to be proactive about putting a structure, a framework, a mindset, a system, that will ensure that at least it won’t be going to waste.
Three Problems with Secular Time Management Models
I put together an e-book that is meant to highlight the three most commonly observed challenges that face high achieving Muslims as they try to control (or manage) this mysterious entity called: “time”:
In this guide, I go over specific mindsets, expectations, and methods that can completely ruin a Productive Muslim’s motivation, consistency, and soul.
I pray that you find it beneficial, and I would appreciate you replying to this email with specific insights and takeaways that benefited you.
May Allah allow us to better use whatever time is left for us on this earth!
Ameen
Sincerely,
Dr. MohaNNad Hakeem
